Thermal bench method
Compare the same workload and cooling setup.
P12 PWM PST 120mm fan changes the physical cooling setup. Keep the workload, ambient conditions and external measurements consistent when checking whether the symptom changes.
- Check supply voltage, connector pinout, clearance and mounting against the equipment documentation. Match pad thickness or paste use to the specified assembly.
- Use supported system or vendor tools to record temperature, fan behavior and workload before and after a single cooling change.
- If a PCIe fault is part of the symptom, preserve the device’s separate Header7F evidence and relevant logs with each cooling setup.
Header7F does not monitor temperatures, fan RPM or PWM, and a cooler setup does not prove the cause of a PCIe fault. External thermal measurements remain separate evidence.
