Thermal bench method
Compare the same workload and cooling setup.
TP-3 thermal pad 1mm changes the physical cooling setup. Keep the workload, ambient conditions and external measurements consistent when checking whether the symptom changes.
- Check supply voltage, connector pinout, clearance and mounting against the equipment documentation. Match pad thickness or paste use to the specified assembly.
- Use supported system or vendor tools to record temperature, fan behavior and workload before and after a single cooling change.
- If a PCIe fault is part of the symptom, preserve the device’s separate Header7F evidence and relevant logs with each cooling setup.
Header7F does not monitor temperatures, fan RPM or PWM, and a cooler setup does not prove the cause of a PCIe fault. External thermal measurements remain separate evidence.
