Anti-static wrist strap supports the physical handling routine for the build. Pair the manufacturer’s grounding instructions with a clear record of each hardware change.
- Set up the mat or wrist strap using its manufacturer’s instructions and the approved grounding point for your workspace.
- Record board, slot and adapter positions before reseating or replacing a component; power down as the equipment documentation requires.
- Keep a known-good Header7F capture for the PCIe device, when one is present, and take a comparable capture after the hardware change.
Header7F cannot measure ESD protection or verify the grounding path. An anti-static accessory does not replace the equipment’s electrical safety instructions.
