Storage host-side correlation
Keep the drive and host controller distinct.
mSATA to 2.5-inch SATA adapter connects through a storage controller rather than appearing as a native PCIe SSD. Identify the host controller separately before collecting PCIe evidence.
- Check the drive interface, adapter direction, power and controller compatibility. Confirm detection with the operating system’s supported storage tools.
- Record the controller and exact drive path, and compare one known-good cable or port at a time.
- If the PCIe host controller is implicated, import its Header7F collector JSON and relevant PCIe logs; keep drive-specific diagnostics with the separate storage evidence.
