Host-side correlation
Isolate the cable from the device.
10G passive SFP+ DAC 1m is part of the physical connection, rather than a separately captured PCIe function. Keep the connected device and host path explicit when checking a cable swap.
- Check both transceiver/port types, supported rate and DAC or fiber compatibility; record the complete port-to-port path.
- Change one cable or port at a time and use the connected device’s supported software to observe the symptom.
- For a PCIe NIC, collect its separate Linux metadata in Header7F. Keep Ethernet link negotiation and external traffic measurements alongside, rather than inside, that capture.
Header7F does not test cable continuity, USB/Thunderbolt data rate, optical power or SATA signal quality. A host capture cannot prove that this cable is good.
