Bench measurement method
Record power before chasing logic.
Fluke 115 helps you check the low-voltage bench conditions around a board. Keep those measurements alongside your digital investigation so a changed power setup is visible.
- Follow the meter and board documentation for the measurement mode, connection points and ratings; record the expected rail from the board documentation.
- Record the measured rail, ground reference, board revision and power source before and after the symptom. A DC reading is not a startup waveform.
- Use Header7F’s reproducibility guide to preserve the test setup. If you later investigate a PCIe card, import its separate host capture into the workbench.
Header7F does not receive meter readings, measure voltage or diagnose a power supply. A steady DC reading cannot prove clock/reset timing or the absence of short transients.
